Live  Indian  Classical  Music Concert at  the  School Campus 

On 18th April 22, a Hindustani Classical Instrumental Music Concert  was organized at the school in  association with Spic Macay*. The concert  featured Sarod recital by the India’s finest Sarod Virtuoso, Dr. Rajeeb Chakarborty accompanied by Pandit  Mithilesh  Kumar  Jha on the Tabla. 

The spell-binding performance resonated the  philosophy NAAD YOG, a path to self-discovery, inner journey,  soul connection and widening of consciousness through the medium of classical music. The live exposure to the magic of Sarod and tabla astounded the young audience and gravitated them to the  incredibly rich musical heritage. 

Artists struck the chord with the students as they answered their questions with awe-inspiring humility. 

“I have had the privilege of listening to the maestros of Indian classical music and it gives me an immense pleasure to watch my students devour the endowing experience,” said Mrs. Veena Mishra, Principal while reminiscing her own tryst with the musical world. The musical afternoon culminated with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Nidhi Panchal, Director NVPS for a truly inspiring, exhilarating and an uplifting experience.

*SPICMACAY (The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) stands out to be one of the largest organization often addressed as a movement aimed at conservation and promotion of our intangible heritage and culture with its prime focus being promoting the Indian classical music.
