THEME:  INDIAN NAVY DAY (04/12/2020)

ACTIVITY: Make your own INS!

OBJECTIVE: The students will be able to recognize the achievements and role of the Indian navy.


INTRODUCTION:

Indian Navy Day in India is observed on December 4 every year to celebrate the magnificence, achievements and role of the naval force to the country. This  was chosen as on that day in 1971, during Operation Trident, the Indian Navy sank four Pakistani vessels including PNS Khaibar, killing hundreds of Pakistani Navy personnel on this day, those killed in the Indo-Pakistan War of1971 are also remembered. It is celebrated using a particular theme of the year: Theme for 2020 was, "Indian Navy Combat Ready, Credible & Cohesive"

CONDUCTION_: 

A special hand on activity  to mark the INDIAN NAVY DAY  celebration was held on the 4th December 2020.

The participants were the students from the class VI to VIII. 

Participants Selected one of the Indian Navy Ship for Research. They watched tutorials for paper ship making, prepared and decorated their own ships. They also took a picture of themselves along with their own INS.





LEARNING OUTCOME:

The students were able to recognize the achievements and role of the Indian navy to the country, enhance their knowledge about the same and pay tribute to the Naval forces of the country by reconstructing the Indian Navy Ships.
