Diwali Celebration!

Festivals are the lifeblood of a nation. They add charm and thrill to our humdrum life. India being a melting-pot of religions, race and cultures, it has a plethora of festivals and feasts. Of all the festivals celebrated in India, Diwali is by far the most glamorous and paramount. Enthusiastically enjoyed on a mass scale, its magical and radiant touch fabricates an atmosphere of jubilation and festivity. It is a festival of lights symbolizing the victory of righteousness and the lifting of spiritual darkness. It also means the triumph of good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The festival of Diwali expounds many values and virtues of life. Rama’s obedience to parents, Sita’s adherence, Lakshman’s unflinching love for his brother etc. teach us many noble lessons of life.

When it comes to values and virtues, we Victorians are at our level best to appreciate and imbibe them. Nothing can thwart and repose hindrance in our path to celebrate the euphoria of festivity. Our tiny tots too apprehended the mood of Diwali and celebrated in their own distinctive way. They participated in Paper Diya Making, Candle & Diya Decoration, Toran Making, Kandil Making and Rangoli Making activities with great fervour and zeal. Their vibrant and vivacious creativity was a treat to watch. Keep up the spirit, our wonderful warriors!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali!

May the festival of lights be the harbinger of exuberance and prosperity!

As the pious occasion of Diwali is at our doorstep and the atmosphere is infused with the spirit of mirth and compassion, here’s hoping this festival of beauty brings scintillating sparkles of contentment, that stay with us through the days ahead.
