Continuous And Comprehensive Evaluation

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented the scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for all students till class X. The scheme envisages that every learner is to be evaluated for what he/she does throughout the year, according to his or her own abilities and intelligence. CCE primarily aims at bringing a paradigm shift from examination centered learning to holistic education. It not only intends to make assessment an integral part of the teaching- learning process, but also improves class-room deliberations resulting in meaningful and productive learning based on scholastic and co-scholastic evaluation

The curriculum celebrates knowledge concepts, the Environment , Language and computing Skills, Behavioural Skills and Indian Culture and Festivals. All curricular and co-curricular activities revolve around these topics. Teachers introduce these topics to children , discuss and explain their importance in their lives. After the introduction of a particular topic, it is followed up by number of creative , follow up activities ensuring the child’s participation. The unit of the books are self designed by the team of experienced teachers under the guidelines of Principal in order to sharpen learners’ interactive skills and to provide them a bright spectrum of learning.

Co-Scholastic

Education is knowledge imbued with wisdom and ethics which moulds the behaviour and personality of the students. The focus on value education remains strong in NVPS. The students imbibe the essential qualities of honesty, fair play, empathy, courage, integrity, compassion, loyalty and courtesy through morning assemblies, celebration of festivals and day- to- day interaction with the teachers. The effort is to guide the students towards appropriate behaviour and development of a strong character.

We are continuously moving towards a system to inculcate more values and ethical sensibility in our students. Our ethos is embodied in songs, plays Inter House competitions, assemblies, symposium, work education ,book discussions and seminars. All this encourages right learning from the right path. Work education is viewed as purposive and meaningful manual work organized as an integral part of learning process. We also assess our children under different areas such as Life Skills, Attitudes ,Values, Health & Physical Education. All these aspects will be judged with the help of activities which is a fun filled way to comprehend each of these activities.
